Unrealistic, or is it?
"I'm a photographer and retouch artist from Sweden. I use photography as a way of collecting material to realize the ideas in my mind"- Erik Johansson
Photoshop can be used to retouch minor flaws in a picture, but also to create a whole new reality. That is how Erik Johansson uses it. He makes images that look totally real, but also very impossible.
He started with photography when he got a camera as a gift. At first, he thought photography was just a matter of being at the right place, at the right time. Everything was coincidental, and then taking a nice photo was something anyone could achieve. So he started to plan photos out, to create his own images instead of capturing what was already there.
By combining different images in photoshop, you get these weird and alienating pictures.
And I like it a lot.
